I’m a recovering people-pleaser, box-checker and average Jane. I used to go with what everyone else thought was right for me, not what I really wanted. And let me tell you, that whole ignoring-my-gut thing? It was torture.
I did the whole "supposed to" routine – the usual path, the resume-boosting gigs, the stuff that would impress everyone else – only to end up feeling undervalued, underpaid, and unfulfilled. I got stuck in the trap. But deep down, I knew there was something more calling me.
